At the first week of May 2025, the NUS Graduate Students’ Society proudly hosted a hands-on UI/UX workshop: Introduction to Figma, exclusively for Master’s and PhD students. Held at ERC UTown, the session introduced participants to the fundamentals of digital design through the powerful and free tool — Figma. Attendees learned how to create and verify a Figma Education account, explore essential design tools, and construct a mock social media feed under guided, practical instruction. The workshop was designed to be beginner-friendly, making it the perfect starting point for anyone curious about UI/UX or digital design.

The session was expertly facilitated by our Website Coordinator, Sinan, and UI/UX Designer Suri Wang, a seasoned professional from the industry. Their energy, real-world insights, and step-by-step guidance empowered participants to actively engage with the material and gain valuable design skills. The event was not only educational but also a creative and collaborative experience for all involved.
