Description:

Education and Experience

  • B.Sc. / B.Eng. from an accredited institution in Environmental Engineering or similar
  • Impact assessments and environmental management of coastal / marine construction activities
Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake supervised technical work for coastal and marine environmental monitoring and management projects, including data entry, processing, and numerical modelling

  • Assist with and contribute to the preparation of technical reports and presentations

  • Provide support for other project tasks, administrative duties, and assist with client communication, or as directed by the reporting/line manager

Preferred Domain:

Able to commit at least 3 months' of internship

Requirements:

Knowledge and Skills

  • Understanding of coastal and marine physico-chemical and ecological processes
  • Understanding of hydrodynamic modelling and impact assessments.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Access, as well as other statistical tools and numerical modelling software
  • Attention to detail with good verbal, analytical and writing skills, professional presentation and communication competencies
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently, follow instructions, under pressure and demanding deadlines, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with multiple projects and various stakeholders
  • Good cooperative interpersonal skills, working with a wide range of colleagues of diverse backgrounds and nationalities
  • Self-motivated, creative, energetic, willing to learn new skills, and a keen interest in research
  • Ability to work flexibly in response to project needs and deliverables that may occasionally include weekends and public holidays.
