Description:
Camtech Diagnostics is a local health technology company with well-established global footprint in diagnostics and a strong pipeline for testing & digital integration. The company has end to end capabilities to bring innovative concepts to market in the areas of molecular diagnostics, genomics lab testing as well as lateral flow tests, and operates a Ministry of Health certified clinical laboratory. Camtech is looking for curious, energetic and enterprising individuals to join the R&D team as an Engineer to ideate, research and develop new products to enhance the company’s pipeline.
Responsibilities:
- Identify innovative and novel diagnostics technologies for clinical applications, such as companion diagnostics for infectious diseases, oncology, immunotherapy and cell and gene therapy
- Conduct market research on such technologies to evaluate market size, clinical unmet need, competitive landscape, regulatory pathway and go to market strategy
- Develop initial R&D plan to validate the technology, and design and create prototypes
- Perform product development activities including but not limited to design input, verification and validation, and clinical performance testing
- Support senior team members to source for technologies and secure the necessary license rights to develop and commercialize them
- Communicate regularly with researchers, clinicians and industry to conceptualize and design novel, clinically relevant and commercially viable IVD products
- Compile and communicate project progress reports for milestone reviews with management

- Technical background in life sciences, engineering or any other technical degree, with interest in business development and commercialization
- Interest in molecular and/or immunoassay development, scale-up and clinical validation within a regulated environment
